The 70th Anniversary of the Liberation of Auschwitz

This day in history marks the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz by the Soviet Forces. Over 7,500 were rescued by the time the Soviets arrived, the rest of the prisoners being evacuated to Bergen-Belsen, where they were subsequently liberated by the British in April.
