Happy Birthday to Our 16th President!

Lincoln_BirthdayHow many 205-year-olds do you know? Yeah, we don’t know any either. Still, our friend and yours, Abe Lincoln, would be 205 today! To honor this grand occasion we’re giving away a Lincoln Books Prize Pack (birthday wrapping not included…)!

One lucky winner will receive Lincoln Legends by Edward Steers, Jr., Blood on the Moon by Edward Steers, Jr. and Lincoln of Kentucky by Lowell H. Harrison.

Good luck and spread the word!

I think I would bring Mr. Lincoln a new book to read, having always read that he loved to read!
Hopefully this would be an appropriate gift for him. Have much respect for this man and am proud that he has Kentucky heritage!

I’d give President Lincoln a pair of orchestra-level tickets to “Our American Cousin” (so he wouldn’t be sitting in the Presidential Box on April 14, 1865).

Since the Winter Olympics are now in progress I think I would like to get President Lincoln a gold medal in the sport of his choice. I think speed skating would be a good choice with those long legs. I’m sure people skated for fun back in his day. Thanks for the chance to win this nice book package.

Since Mr. Lincoln practiced law before becoming President of the United States I would give him an honorary Juris Doctorate from the University of Kentucky for his birthday.

Since Abe and Mary enjoyed an occasional night at the theater, I propose an All-American Gala at the Kennedy Center in his honor

I would arrange for Secret Service protection for Mr. Lincoln. He signed them into service on his last day. Pity he did not benefit.

Congratulations, Anthony! I thought your proposed SS detail was the winning comment when I read it! Sorry I didn’t win, but very glad the best proposal won!!
