Celebrate International Peace Corps Week

Did you know it’s International Peace Corps Week? Started by President John F. Kennedy, Jr. in 1961, the Peace Corps has sent more than 200,000 volunteers to 139 countries in 50 years, including our own UPK authors Angene and Jack Wilson (Voices from the Peace Corps: Fifty Years of Kentucky Volunteers.) See a few images from the book below, and check out this slideshow over on the Huffington Post in celebration.
