Daily Notes: Tuesday, April 13

This is shaping up to be a big, exciting week here at UPK. Primarily, because the bluelines of the NEW catalog are back from the printer, and I can reveal all soon, but also because there are still a ton of UPK author events happening.

TONIGHT, The Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning (@West Second and Market Streets in Lexington) is hosting the next installment of the Kentucky Great Writers Series, featuring Jim Tomlinson reading and signing Nothing Like an Ocean: Stories. I will most likely be in attendance, as should you!

TOMORROW, Joseph Beth Booksellers at the Lexington Green Shopping Mall is hosting a book launch/cocktail party for Chef Schmid’s The Kentucky Bourbon Cookbook. I just bet your friendly bookseller at Joseph Beth is more than happy to sell you a ticket to the event, featuring hors d’oeurves from the cookbook and cocktails mixed by favorite UPK mixologists Joy Perrine and Susan Riegler of The Kentucky Bourbon Cocktail Book fame.

As always, you can keep it tuned right here for all your UPK news and notes or at our Twitter feed. Hope to see you tonight!
